Fingerprints of God

God left his fingerprints all over.  There is no mistaking He was intimately involved.  He alone can claim glory:

~ there was always someone to take care of the kids when we had to go unexpectedly to the hospital... many times

~ several people came to visit us in the hospital, making those stays much happier

~ the medications I was put on had minimal side effects

~ many people brought meals, cleaned house and played with the kids while I was on bed rest

~ at one point having the Psalms read calmed my contractions when nothing else was working

~ a great team of doctors and nurses who did everything they could to make sure Eric and I were as ready as possible when delivery did come

~ Air Life transport team allowed Jason to ride with me to Denver (this is usually not allowed)

~ NOT delivering on the jet or helicopter :)

~ a quick delivery with no complications in Denver hospital

~ a healthy 5lb 2oz preemie born 8 weeks early with healthy lungs

~ a preemie with Down Syndrome WITHOUT most of the complications that come with the diagnosis

~ a hole in the heart that doctors thought might need surgery down the road that healed miraculously by the next echocardiogram

~ able to stay at Ronald McDonald house where we could be close to the hospital and where we were very well taken care of

~ acts of love and prayers sent our way through our family and friends and our church

~ when told we would be in Denver until Eric's due date, he met all the criteria a week later and all the other pieces fell into place for him to be transferred back to Casper's hospital

~ Air Life also allowed me to ride back to Casper on the jet with Eric (which was also usually not allowed)

~ Eric's stay at Casper hospital was only 1 week compared to the 5-6 weeks stay we were cautioned could occur

There are so many ways God showered blessings upon us.  Although it was one of the most difficult times in our lives and there was so much uncertainty, God sheltered us safely in the Ark of His promises.  And like the rainbow God gave Noah after the storm, the list above (and more blessings unmentioned) will always remind us of God's faithfulness to and love for us.
